An unusual Offer for an FBO

Postby Soulpatrol » Mon 25. Mar 2013, 22:46

Let me tell you a story:

It was late winter in 2013 at NK74 when I just did my job as a true gentleman for a good friend of mine.

I wanted to leave early with my B58, when a quite rundown guy sat himself beside me in the pilots lounge.
He told me that he was in a kind of trouble. He had some kind of financial misfortune, but this may not be part of this story.
What IS part of this story now, is that he offered me the share for a little FBO in Pennsylvania.

So we took me B58 to take a look at that "Airport":

And after some 20 minutes of flight I saw this litlle presious:

Smoothly laid into a valley surrounded by steep hills, acorn- and oaktrees, and a leisurely flowing creek.

It didn't take me a second to accept this offer, 'cause it is a neat little Airport, stationed between Syracus and Philadelphia,
stuffed full of Supplies, some tons of Fuel and two already rented gates, and: a nice cargo-train goes by also :)

But, at least not unexpected, there was some work to do on this FBO to get it started right again. So i called a fellow pilot with his c208 Cargo, to bring in some additional supplies, and also some BuildingMats
for further expansions in some future:

So now the WAC has a little dependance in Pennsylvania, struggling to build up a more reliable Network of FBOs

Meanwhile it has a little Output of 3 WACPaxes per day to KSYR and back again, some system-generated Paxes also for KSYR and a steady Assignementlist off BuildMats From KSYR to (K)n27 for some other Improvements. ( A Baron B58 is stationed at either of both, just look out...)

Would be nice to see you there... (picz preferred)

Building up Soulpatrol's FBO.
I searched for a Bombardier CL-415 in the region, found one - even cheap - and picked up the first load of building materials at KSYR.

Don't know whether that's Luke or Soulpatrol below me:

At Bradford County Airport, I was waiting for the others.

Luke was arriving next. He did an overflight and finally landed at runway 05.

We hadn't to wait for too long and Soulpatrol was arriving in the C208

SP asked, we came. I took time to look around the wonderful new scenery from Peter. And soon after I started what I came for:

I'm not yet really sure if those Diesels are Dash-9's or the newer ES44AC's.
What I'm sure of: some realy nice BNSF's there

Soon after, the busiess started. There was a nice but still small Meridian waiting in Syracuse for me and some Building Material to be flown to SP's new home.

But then I told myself: Meridian? Comon! You can do better. The ones who know me, know what's coming, or flying. Yes, THE famous C-119!

Had to ship her from the northern USA, to Syracuse.
